Offline MLM Marketing Strategies

Offline MLM Marketing StrategiesIf you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know how much I love online marketing. What a great way to connect with people that I wouldn’t otherwise have the chance to meet.

Let’s not forget about offline MLM marketing strategies, which have been around much longer. In the network marketing world, in-person or belly to belly as some call it, still works.

It’s very effective and I know many people who built multi-million dollar businesses without Facebook or Twitter! Yes, it’s true!

Although we love our Internet, how duplicable do you think it is for most people? It may be for you and me but think about the larger population here. That is why offline MLM marketing strategies work and are effective for many network marketing distributors.

I’ve had so many people on my network marketing team come to me and ask me to help them with online marketing. Most of them failed because they just didn’t get it.

So I had to learn offline methods so I could teach distributors on my network marketing team how to grow their business with methods that anyone can use!

Offline MLM Marketing Strategies for Prospecting

There are so many fun ways to prospect offline! I hope you will leave a comment here with your suggestions since I am not covering them all. I want to share three with you that you can start doing this week.

  1. Wear and Share. Clothing is one of the best offline MLM marketing strategies! You can do this even if you are shy, right? You have to wear clothes so why not wear clothing with your company logo or slogan? Seriously, you barely have to do anything. When I wear and share, people sometimes come up to me and start asking questions. I love that! I like to turn it around, ask them a few questions and get their information. See how that works? You don’t even have to go out of your way. Just wear and share!
  2. Meetups and Networking Events. The most powerful thing you can bring to a networking function is you. Do yourself a favor and leave the brochures and samples home. No one is going to be signing up for your MLM business. Believe me, even if you gave out fliers, you won’t hear from anyone. Instead, do it the smart way. Just collect information from people. Commit to collecting as many business card as possible. Attend the function and connect with people without vomiting your business all over them. If they ask what you do, keep it brief and turn the questions back to them. Be interested, not interesting. They will appreciate it and remember you. Don’t forget to follow-up the next day!
  3. Return Envelope Mail. We all get so much mail! There are bills, credit card offer, and much more. Usually there is a return envelope. So here’s the tip. Instead of returning the credit card offer application, put a personal letter with information about you and your business in the envelope and mail it back! You never know who will open it on the other end. Also, if the person’s job is to open this stuff all day, do you think they are happy? I just got this idea from someone else and I plan to implement starting now to see where it goes. Have some fun with it!

Although I love online MLM marketing strategies, combining your online and offline marketing creates a more powerful funnel.

You never know who you will meet online and you never know who you will meet in-person. That shopper in line with you at the grocery store may be the next rock star in your business!

I find once people find you online and then see you face the conversion to sale is much greater, especially if you are a service provider/consultant. People like to see a face!

I’m a big fan of offline marketing myself. I’ve found it’s so much easier to connect with people and make a sale or sponsor someone. Of course, I like online too, but it’s hard to duplicate on your team. Not everyone wants to have their own blog or website AND build a MLM Business. It’s good to know a few ways to build your MLM Business so you can teach your team different techniques. Great article and blog. I really like your idea about wearing the clothing.

Thanks for your comment Chuck! Even with online marketing, it’s important to have those offline skills because you still have to pick up the phone and talk to a person.
