MLM tips are exactly what I need when I first started in network marketing. It sure would have saved me a lot of time with frustration and wasting time with people who would never engage.
I want to save you from frustration and that’s why I am sharing. Prospecting and recruiting is the easy part.
Once people join your team, you need to tap into a whole other set of skills and mindset.
Seriously, there is no reason why you should spend even a minute agonizing over an MLM team member who does not do what they are supposed to do. Do you want to have a better experience and learn some team building skills? Here’s a better way.
MLM Tips – Building a Team
As long as you do what you are supposed to do, you will have success. Here is something my mentor taught me and I will never forget it, “Some will, some won’t, so what.”
The three 3 S’s. Easy to remember, harder to put into practice.
Here are the MLM tips that I personally use for team building.
- Set expectations. When I first started in network marketing, I didn’t understand this. So I was just enrolling people and explaining to them what to do, but never set an expectation. That didn’t work too well. Then I learned that this is my business and I need to set expectations for those who join my team. Having a verbal contract became important because I started holding people accountable for what they said they would do. It’s a great sorting tool too! It helps me to sort through the people who are serious about building and those who are not. If they are not, then I adjust accordingly. No frustration here.
- Be an example. This is one of my best tips that has served me well. Do not ask anyone on your team to do anything that you don’t do yourself. Make sure you are doing it and doing more of it. It’s doesn’t matter what rank you achieve in your company, keep doing the activities that everyone does to drive their business forward.
- Be event driven. Go to event and encourage everyone of your team to get to events. Live meetings are better but also make sure your team is on all conference calls and webinar. All companies have annual conventions and many hold regional events throughout the year. Events help distributors to build their belief in the company, products, and the profession. Again, it’s a great way to sort through your team and find the people you should be spending your time with.
Great points about being event driven. Getting people to functions is imperative if you want to grow a big team. Something magical happens at functions. It rebuilds belief and gets your team and unified. I suggest going to all company events, plus some generic MLM training events.
